Be sweet to your feet

It’s a great night for you, but 12 hours of Debs partying can be torture on your poor feet. So, spare a thought to your tootsies and give them some TLC before you step out.

Buying your shoes

  • Buy your shoes at the end of the day when your feet are swollen, because if they don’t fit then, they sure as hell won’t fit after 3 hours of dancing.

  • Choose heels wisely. We’re not suggesting you buy granny loafers, but if you’ve never worn 4-inch stilettos Debs night is not the time to try it.

  • Break your shoes in by wearing them around the house prior to Debs night. No need to do anything too strenuous in them, just potter around looking pretty.

Peppermint Cooling Foot Spray, from Boots nationwide.

Debs night

If possible, limit your errands and grab an hour of foot-rest time in the afternoon – if you’re lucky enough to have a younger sister bribe her into giving you a foot rub.

Soak your feet in cool water prior to going out, this will help decrease any inflammation.

Invest in Scholl’s Party Feet Gel Cushions. These invisible cushions really do help ward off that nasty burning pain in the balls of your feet. And, they’re washable so you can re-use them to go clubbing on Saturday night.

Stash some cooling foot spray in your bag If you suffer from hot sweaty feet. The Body Shop’s cooling foot spray in Peppermint provides a minty blast of freshness.

Don’t forget some blister plasters! Those clever Scholl people come to the rescue again with their Party Feet Invisible Gel Blister Plasters.
